MILLS UNIVERSITY
The team of Byrne and Jones Construction and Midwest Synthetic Turf Professionals were contracted via a purchasing co-op program by the Pulaski County Special Schools District to construct multiple synthetic turf fields for the district. One of these fields was the Mills High School football stadium. The football field underwent a natural grass to synthetic turf conversion using PowerHouse 46 as well as a brand new synthetic running track.
This impressive 91,000 SF field features alternating 5-yard green panels, a 4-color midfield logo, colored end zones, dual color end zone lettering, football and soccer markings and a white 6' football field perimeter.
The baseball infield features tan turf for the "dirt" running paths and warning track. The remainder of the infield is green turf, with alternating green panels inside the base area. This leaves only the outfield as natural. The school placed their 3-color logo behind home plate. The school also invested in a pitching mound with turf.
